Setup Cloud Remote Desktop on my PC (2012R2 Platform) [Released mid-2015 onwards]
This article will help you setup Cloud Remote Desktop on your home Windows PC.
It is only for clients on 2012R2 Platform installed mid-2015 onwards.
1. If you have Google Chrome (recommended) or Mozilla Firefox
1.2. Go to https://cloudapps.progressit.com.au/rdweb
Click on the link below, or copy and paste it into your Chrome Browser
https://cloudapps.progressit.com.au/rdweb
If the page does not open, one of these is most commonly the cause:
- You have no Internet access (try accessing other pages, will they open?)
- You misspelled the address above (did you copy and paste as we suggested?)
1.3. Enter your Sign in details
You will need to enter your account details which were provided to you when your cloud service was commissioned (you probably got a card with all the details on it).
- Enter your username. Your username is composed of three parts: PITC\ followed by your company code, in this case gens, followed by a full stop, your first initial and your last name. In this example, the username becomes PITC\gens.alenard
- Enter your password.
- Click on Sign In.
1.4. Click on the connection you wish to setup
1.5. Click on Open downloads folder
1.6. Drag and drop the connection to your desktop
2. If you only use Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer will not let you download the connection file, but you can add the website portal to favourites and use it next time you need.
2.1. Open Internet Explorer
2.2. Go to cloudapps.progressit.com.au
In the address bar, please type (or even better copy and paste from this guide):
https://cloudapps.progressit.com.au/rdweb

Internet Explorer does not let you easily download this connection to your desktop like Google Chrome (suggested above) does. If you are finding it cumbersome to open up Internet Explorer, sign in to the Cloud Portal and then click on the link, use Google Chrome instructions above to download the one-click-connection icon to your desktop.
