Setting up Microsoft Authenticator App (Passwordless/TAP)

This method requires a "Temporary Access Pass (TAP)" which is different from your password. If you have not been provided with this, you cannot proceed with this guide.

If you have been directed to this guide but are not sure of your TAP, reach out to your manager or ProgressIT to obtain it.

1. Download the Microsoft Authenticator App

Android: On your Android device, go to Google Play to download and install the Microsoft Authenticator app.

Apple iOS: On your Apple iOS device, go to the App Store to download and install the Microsoft Authenticator app.

2. Add your Work Account

3. Log in with your Temporary Access Pass (TAP)

4. Follow the Prompts on Screen

The Authenticator app will now present you with a few different screens and may ask you to approve some permissions, or ask for your phone unlock code / faceID.

Proceed through these steps as required.
