Enable Hotspot on Android

Your mobile phone will allow you to broadcast a portable WIFI network. If your computer has WIFI capabilities, you can join this network and connect to the internet. It's very handy when your main internet connection goes offline and you need urgent access in a pinch!

1. Go to "Settings" app

2. Select "Network & Internet"

3. Select "Hotspot & tethering"

4. Select ""Wi-Fi hotspot"

5. Enable and configure the hotspot

  1. Enable the hotspot
  2. Take note of the WIFI name
  3. Tap on the password field and set a password  

6. Connect to the Hotspot on your computer

Choose your Hotspot from the list of WiFi networks available on your computer, and be sure to enter the password as provided by your phone in the step above
